COVID-19 POLICY
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is classified as a pandemic and is affecting lives and work around the globe. Realigned Wellness Massage Therapy is putting measures in place to protect you and your families and mitigate the spread of this illness. This policy explains these measures about how we can work together to promote a safe and healthy environment.

What is Coronavirus?
According to World Health Organization (WHO), Coronaviruses (CoV) is a large family of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases and health conditions.
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering the mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
As your Massage Therapist, to ensure the safety of all clients and our wider community I will:
-
Continue to review the information and guidelines that SA Health and our state government make available and inform clients
-
Wear the recommended PPE relevant to my line of work. I will be wearing P2 face masks and safety glasses (yes, I will look a little strange, but I am required to follow these guidelines).
-
Ensure the treatment room is wiped down between each client as per my normal cleaning practice, taking extra care to wipe over commonly touched surfaces.
-
Practice good hygiene such as regularly washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, Coughing/sneezing into a tissue, or upper sleeve, not in hands, avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with hands.
-
Provide hand sanitiser for use in the treatment room and in the foyer upon entry to your appointment
-
Cancel and reschedule your appointments if I am unwell
As a client accessing Realigned Wellness, to ensure the safety of myself
and our wider community you will:

-
Bring a face mask to your appointment and wear this throughout your appointment including during your treatment.
-
Arrive as close to your appointment time as possible to ensure I can adequately clean and sanitise the treatment room. If you do arrive extra early, and it is possible for you to do so, please wait in your vehicle until just before your appointment.
-
-
Notify me as soon as possible if you are feeling unwell and need to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment.
-
Postpone your appointment if you have travelled from interstate and have not yet received a negative COVID test since arriving in SA. Follow SA Health guidelines if you have tested positive to COVID or have come into contact with a positive COVID case, while also letting me know so I can postpone your appointment until you have been cleared.
