  • Is it good to have a massage?
Yes, if you want to experience massage therapy to relax. However, to have a longer term therapeutic effect, one treatment may not be enough. Massage therapy is most beneficial in both acute and chronic conditions, when used over a series of treatments and then followed up with maintenance or preventative treatments.
  • Do I need to wear a mask when lying down on the table?
Unfortunately, yes. My aim is to keep everyone as safe as possible during these times, including myself.
  • Do I need to get fully undressed?
Yes, but you do get to leave your underwear on. All dependent on what areas need work.
  • Does remedial massage hurt?
Deep tissue can potentially be painful, all dependent on what's going on with your body. This is always where great communication comes in so we both know how you're feeling and how much one can tolerate.
  • How early do I need to arrive at my appointment?
Please no more than 5 minutes. If you do arrive early, please just wait in your car until closer to your appointment time as there is no waiting area. The gaps I have inbetween clients is either important cleaning time or my free time to go to the toilet or grab a bite to eat.
  • Do I need to make further appointments?
Absolutely up to you! I like my clients to want to book in and not feel forced.
  • Should I have a massage if I am feeling unwell?
Absolutely not. Massage provides blood flow and has the potential to move around toxins through your body. Having a massage while unwell may result in your symptoms coming on quicker and consequently making you feel worse. Please cancel your appointment if you feel you're coming down with something.
  • Do I have to listen to whale music and flutes?
We don't tend to listen to that music. If the music isn't realy doing it for you, then please ask me to change it, if you want to enjoy your massage as much as possible.
  • Where do I park my car when I arrive to my appointment?
At this stage, on the stones at the front.
  • How will I feel after my massage treatment?
Most people feel very relaxed. Lots would say they would like to go home and have a nap. Some experience a significant decrease from long-term aches and pains. Some notice an increase in energy and productivity that can last for days. If your received a deep massage, you may feel slightly sore the next day - much like a good workout at the gym. Sometimes a hot shower or soak in the bath can ease this soreness. After your session you should drink plenty of water. This keeps your body tissues hydrated and healthy.
